Above photograph: January 1967; grandson Marty Keenan (me) shows off in his grandpa's room wearing his grandpa's hat, shoes, necktie and holding his cane----a sure sign of admiration.  Two years later it was in this room that I last saw my grandpa alive.
Grandpa has a penchant for bold, colorful clothing----note the necktie.

My Uncle, Pat Keenan, Jr., continues the tradition of Keenan Auction Company to this day.
This lightning incident made me ponder issues of divine providence, luck, and fate.  My grandpa was 20 feet from the lightning strike that killed a man and two farm animals.  This was 1912.  My Dad was born in 1929.  In other words, if that lightning had hit my grandpa, there would have been no Larry Keenan, and no Marty Keenan.
